
FILM ENTRY
The National and International European Competition Programs of the 17th Odesa International Film Festival will take place from 27 August to 4 September 2026, in Kyiv.
This year, the Odesa International Film Festival announces the acceptance of films for two competition programs:

National Competition Program (Feature Fiction and Documentary Films)

International Competition Program (International Feature Fiction and Documentary Films)
Applications are accepted from January 15, 2026, to May 15, 2026 (until 14:59:59 Kyiv time).
NATIONAL COMPETITION PROGRAM
Ukrainian and co-produced feature films (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) of all genres completed in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for submission to the National Competition Program.
During the film festival, winners of the National Competition Program will be determined in the following categories:

“Best Ukrainian Feature-Length Fiction Film”

“Best Ukrainian Feature-Length Documentary Film”

“Grand Prix”
-
Diploma of the International Federation of Film Critics FIPRESCI
Awards for the winners of the National Competition Program are as follows:

The director or producer of the film that wins the Best Ukrainian Feature Fiction Film category will receive the “Golden Duke” statuette and a monetary award of 75,000 UAH.

The director or producer of the film that wins the Best Ukrainian Feature Documentary Film category will receive the “Golden Duke” statuette and a monetary award of 75,000 UAH.

Additionally, at its discretion, the National Jury may award up to two (2) Special Diplomas to participating films or members of their creative teams in the National Competition Program.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION PROGRAM
Feature fiction, non-fiction, animation, and experimental European feature films of all genres, completed in 2024 or 2025, are eligible for selection to participate in the International Competition Program. The Program is open to participants from all over the world (except for territories subject to sanctions imposed by Ukraine, the European Union, the USA, or the UN).
During the Film Festival, winners of the International Competition Program will be determined in the following category:

“Best International Feature-Length Film”

“Grand Prix”
The director of the film that wins the Best Feature Film category will receive the “Golden Duke” statuette.
Additionally, at its discretion, the International Jury may award up to two (2) Special Diplomas to participating films or members of their creative teams in the International European Competition Program.
