Odesa International Film Festival announces pitching participants in Development and Work in Progress

The 16th Odesa International Film Festival announces the list of participants in this year's pitching, selected from among the submitted applications. Project presentations at the Development and Work in Progress stages will take place within the framework of the Film Industry Office section of the film festival, where authors will present their feature-length projects that are in the concept and production stages. This is an opportunity to show the plots they are still working on, find partners, financing and professional support, and for the audience to take a look behind the scenes of the film-making process.

This year's pitching selection demonstrates a wide range of topics and genres: from documentary observations of war and nature to game stories about the lives of displaced persons, military personnel and youth during a full-scale invasion. Each project is a unique look at modernity, personal experiences and collective traumas, an attempt to rethink experience and find ways of coexistence and survival.

The authors will compete for valuable awards: the winning project of the Development presentation will receive UAH 80,000 from the information partner of the film festival Kyivstar TV. The winning project of the Work in Progress presentation will receive UAH 80,000 from the general partner Film Industry Office UpHub, a marketing services package from StarLight Creative (creation of audiovisual materials and consultations on promotion strategy), as well as a post-production services package in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 from Cinema Sound UA Production worth $3,500.
