OIFF introduces new Golden Duke: symbol of strength, tradition, and future of Ukrainian cinema

The Odesa International Film Festival, which annually brings together the most interesting Ukrainian and world films, this time will present an updated main award - the Golden Duke. For 16 years, this statuette has already been a symbol of recognition and development of Ukrainian culture, and now its new form will combine traditions with modern design.

The updated Duke has a polygonal shape - it is a reflection of the constantly changing world, but at the same time it reminds of the values and traditions that are taken as the basis of the festival and Ukrainian cinema.

There is a red heart in the centre of the statuette - a sign of the sustainability which helps us overcome challenges. Cinema, like people, is born, overcoming trials, but lives thanks to strength. This is exactly what became the main message of the updated award.

The specialists of the Jewelry Factory company worked on the creation of the updated statuette. The company's products are not only jewelry art, but also values that are passed down from generation to generation. Duke combines deep meaning and beauty, becoming a symbol of our invincibility and faith in the future.

The updated Golden Duke statuettes will be presented to the winners during the awards ceremony of the 16th Odesa International Film Festival, which will be held from September 24 to October 4, 2025 in Kyiv.
