Three stories intertwine — of a man who lost his family, an elderly woman forced to leave her home, and a wounded soldier who dies on the way from the stabilisation base to the hospital. Shot by a cameraman and volunteer who travelled across frontline areas — and now serves in the Armed Forces — the film reflects on loss, resilience, and the fragile persistence of humanity.

Biography

Roman Ostrovskyi was born in Lviv, Ukraine. He studied journalism in Poland and at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv. Since 2016, he has worked in advertising and film as a cinematographer. After the full-scale invasion, he documented the war as a volunteer field producer and cameraman. His short film Soul of Ukraine (2022) received international recognition. In 2023, he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Clouds Move with Great Speed is his feature-length documentary debut.
