Based on the operetta of the same name by Yaroslav Barnych.
The year is 1939, and there are only a few weeks left before the occupation of Western Ukraine by the Bolsheviks. A group of Americans arrives in Vorokhta from the United States with an important mission – to find a bride for the young Yaro. The young man's father left a will stating that Yaro would inherit a million dollars if he marries a conscious Ukrainian woman.

Biography
Olena Demyanenko is a Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, and producer. She is a member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Film Academy (since 2017), and the European Film Academy (since 2018). She was born in Lviv. She graduated from the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema, and Television University in 1990.
