When Yaki discovers that his only inheritance is a priceless dove, it’s already too late. Together with Bilal, his childhood friend, and their wives, he embarks on a wild road trip across Israel and Palestine to bring Bella back. They’ll get stuck at checkpoints, ruin a wedding, steal a car, join a reconciliation ceremony, and even revive an unconscious dove—all racing not to miss the Jerusalem Dove Beauty Pageant. A heartwarming comedy co-directed by an Israeli and a Palestinian.

Graduate of Sam Spiegel (2009), screenwriter & director. Co-wrote the TV drama Salma, directed the short doc, co-directed 2 shorts films. BELLA is her first feature.

DIRECTOR - JAMAL KHALAILY

Biography

Jamal Khalaily graduated from Hadassah College in Jerusalem, 2006.

Jamal wrote and directed a few shorts movies MAKHRAJ, EBRAHEM, and SHO QOSTAK, a 55 min, Documentary fund by Doha Film Institute (Jerusalem FF 2011- FIDADOC).
