The documentary “Silvestrov,” dedicated to this brilliant Ukrainian composer, is far from a traditional biopic about a prominent person. It is an observation, a confession, and, most of all, a story of great talent set against the backdrop of uncertain times.

TOMORROW IS A HOLIDAY / ЗАВТРА СВЯТО
A satirical look at everyday life at the Morozivska poultry farm in the Kyiv region.


IVAN AND MARTA / ІВАН І МАРТА
Ivan Dziuba — literary scholar, critic, member of the 1960s generation, and author of the work *Internationalism or Russification?*. Through the memories of Marta Dziuba, the director paints a portrait of two people who spent over 60 years together in love, creativity and the struggle for Ukrainian culture.

The film is based on the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, recorded by the Shoah Foundation, The Institue for Visual History and Education in Ukraine, between 1994 and 1998. It also features the stories of the Righteous Among the Nations, who helped Jewish children—and even entire families—to hide and survive.

The story of what the cascade of hydroelectric power stations, built during the Soviet era, brought to those who lived on the banks of the Dnieper…


UKRAINE. STARTING POINT / УКРАЇНА. ТОЧКА ВІДЛІКУ
The film is focused on three years of Ukraine’s history of the late 20th century, that is, 1989, 1990, and 1991. It was just about that time when Ukraine got its real Independence for the first time ever.
