Elizabeth, burlesque performer and sex worker, is passionate about her jobs. But after years of keeping her life as an escort a secret, she wonders if she can still live like this. As she prepares to move on, she accepts one last client, a man with a disability. Their unexpected encounter overturns her certainties and leads her on an intimate and transformative journey.

DIRECTOR - JUNNA CHIF

Biography

Junna Chif is a filmmaker and screenwriter who has directed four short films, including Mme Liliane (TIFF’s Top Ten 2016). In her work, she has developed a cinematic language in which female characters occupy a central place. Her cinema is marked by a stripped-down and sensory approach that brings audiences close to the characters while questioning both intimate and social representations.

Invisibles, her first feature film, continues this exploration by offering an intimate look at the lives of sex workers and the sexuality of people with disabilities, with a gaze that is both direct and luminous. Through this work, she interrogates how sexuality is represented, emphasizing the emancipation of bodies and desires without complacency or voyeurism.
