Odesa IFF PRODUCER'S LAB
Producer's Lab is a three-day intensive mentorship workshop at the Odesa International Film Festival (August 2026), led by Katriel Schory — one of the most respected figures in international cinema, with over 40 years of experience.
Katriel Schory founded BELFILMS in 1974 and spent 25 years producing over 150 films and television programs. Then, in 1999, he took over as Executive Director of the Israel Film Fund — and over the next two decades, backed more than 300 Israeli features, turning a small national cinema into one of the most celebrated in the world. He has since become one of the most sought-after voices in international film — a mentor at Venice, Torino Film Lab, EAVE, and beyond. And now he's coming to Kyiv.
Over the course of the workshop, twelve emerging producers will work through the full arc of what it means to build a career in film. Sessions will cover how to identify and develop projects that have something real to say; how to build producer-director relationships that are built to last; how to navigate the realities of film finance and co-production structures; how to pitch your projects to the right people with confidence; and how to think strategically about your career — not just your next film.
Participation is free. The workshop is conducted in English. All selected participants receive an OIFF industry badge and invitations to the festival's opening and closing ceremonies.
Applications are open to emerging producers.
The deadline to apply is July 15, 2026.
