CALL SIGN "ARTIST" / ПОЗИВНИЙ «АРТИСТ»

2024 / 35' / documentary / Ukraine

Renowned Ukrainian actor Oleksandr Pecherytsia was meant to leave on tour with the play Stolen Happiness on February 24th. Instead, he took up arms – and went to defend Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. Between rotations and brief leaves, Oleksandr returned to the stage: acting in theater, giving concerts, studying to become a military psychologist. Yet, with time, a duality began to weigh on him: the world of war, and the world of art – both living inside the same man. An empty home and fleeting moments with his son only reminded him of the happier days, when family was still close.
