Biography

Liina Triškina-Vanhatalo (born 1976) studied humanities at the University of Tallinn and filmmaking in the European Film College in Denmark and the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalunya. She has worked on dozens of documentaries as a director and editor. She also taught editing at the Baltic Film and Media School. In 2018 her first fiction “Take It Or Leave It” premiered at Warsaw IFF and was selected as the Estonian submission for the Academy Awards. “Lioness” is her second feature.
