An eco-journalist travels across war-torn Ukraine to document the scale of ecocide in National Parks. She meets an environmental scientist and a chiropterologist who continue the struggle to preserve nature, even where explosions are heard every day.

The heroine begins recording the audioatmospheres of war-torn areas to compare them with pre-war archives. Gradually, it turns into a unique study, giving traditional documentation of war crimes new meaning and imbuing it with deep emotional power.

Biography

Author, director and co-producer of the project Mudaky (Fuckers. Arabesques) and Ukraine, Goodbye!, almanacs of short films, participated in the Berlinale, Silver leopard of Locarno IFF 2012, Clermont-Ferrand 2013 and was a nominee for European Academy Award.

In 2013, he finished his film The Green Jacket, which was in competition at the San Sebastian IFF, Warsaw IFF and Tbilisi IFF. Brama (The Gateway) (2017) and Lethal Kittens (2020) became significant events in Ukrainian cinemas.
