2022 / 75' / documentary / Spain

Walls Can Talk is Carlos Saura’s unique vision of the origin of art. The acclaimed and award-winning director, with more than 50 films made, nominated, and internationally recognized (Oscar, Cannes, Berlin, Goya, etc.), directs and stars in this documentary film.

In it, he portrays the evolution and relationship of art with the wall as a canvas of creation, from the first graphic revolutions in prehistoric caves to the most avant-garde urban expressions.

A fascinating and deeply personal journey accompanied by figures such as Juan Luis Arsuaga, the great thinker of human evolution, and Miquel Barceló, an iconic artist of contemporary art. In addition, the graffiti artist Zeta, graffiti writer Musa, and urban creator Suso33 have also contributed with their transgressive visions of art on walls.
